I always feel like when I purchase herbs from the supermarket, in the off season especially, I am battling a quick decline.
No matter the efforts I take to store them in breathable bags with a wet cloth or stems in a glass of water, they wilt long before I am ready to use them.
That said, I discovered a great trick to revitalize those pitifully sad herbs quickly before use.
Simply trim the stems and toss remaining herbs into a bowl of cold water with ice (also known as an Ice Bath).

Agitate slightly and then let sit for about 30 minutes.
Drain in a colander and dry with a dish cloth and you should have bright, crisp and happy herbs ready to use for whatever recipe you desire!
